Painting the places that make us feel alive.

Bold color. Dramatic light. The wild beauty of the American West.

Boulder-based contemporary Western artist Lindsay Jane Ternes creates original oil paintings inspired by the mountains, rural landscapes, farm animals, ski culture, and iconic places of the West. Rooted in plein air painting and direct experience, her work pushes color, contrast, and light to capture not simply how a place looks, but how it feels to be there.
