First Snow on Grinnell Point

This piece was painted en plein air during the Plein Air Glacier event, off the main road going into Many Glacier. The wind was intense that day, but I couldn't resist the play of the deep purple shadows and turquoise water against the fresh topping of snow. So many fascinating shapes and angles that time of day.
