Verdant Weeping Wall

Going-to-the-Sun Road is one of those places where the journey becomes every bit as extraordinary as the destination. In Verdant Weeping Wall, waterfalls spill directly beside the winding road as impossibly green summer slopes climb toward the snow-covered peaks of Glacier National Park. I was drawn to the sweep of the hillside, the rhythm of the dark evergreens, and the brilliant blue of the distant mountain- a scene that captures Glacier at its most lush, dramatic, and alive. I loved the composition so much that I returned to it in the studio, expanding the study into this larger painting for my solo show.
