Little Chief Rising

Early morning light catches the rugged face of Little Chief Mountain above St Mary in Glacier National Park. Painted on location as the sun began to rise, Little Chief Rising captures the contrast between warm illuminated rock, cool blue shadow, and the pale trunks of weathered fire-burned trees reaching through the foreground.
